You've probably noticed that our this site hozell.com looks a lot different all of a sudden.  Well, we were purchased by Poo Ralph Lauren and their first order of business was to get us this new-fangled website.   I couldn't be more joking.  They can't buy us, we're priceless... and that's exactly what I told Ralph last week.  Anyway, the new site.  This is it. What do you think?

Spring 2009 Line in stores now

That's right, our Spring line has just hit the stores... 58 stores to be exact, stretching from right down the street here in Costa Mesa to Tokyo, Japan. Once again, this line is the largest and most wide spread that we've put out to date.

A Celebration on sunset

Hozell sponsored a party at the Hollywood Standard on Sunset Blvd this Spring with DB3 Productions and Dry Soda. It was held in the posh Purple Lounge. There were fabulously delicious dry soda cocktail specials named after our own "dry Chad" and "dry Jeff" as well as our friend "dry William" who provided us with performance of a few of his sweet melodies. A delightful time was had by all, despite the fact some people tried to sneak out some clothing from our Fall line preview! Why do that when you could have gotten a super sweet tank sporting the phrase "hozell makes me happy" for free?! Hozell AND free? nothing makes me happier than that!

we're official! let's have a party!!

May 2nd was a special day.... we now have the official Hozell sign up on our office building. to celebrate, we threw a warehouse warming party. we opened the doors to the new office for a good ol' house warming extravaganza. a sick musical performance by will crum, ping-pong, and a late night mint chip ice cream suprise provided by the fabulous intern lily were some of the highlights. it was good, it was fun, it was good fun. we enjoyed having you if you made it, and if you didn't, we hope to see you next time.

Hozell on nbc again

Check out the video below. NBC was shooting this promo commercial for their Southern California programming and asked us for some shirts to have the band wear. The lead singer is wearing our "Vacation" leisure shirt. This is fun stuff.

 

New stuff and a giant Trailer

We know it's been awhile since we've checked up with you guys on this page, but we've been too busy actually doin things to write about them.

Also, we've been tooling around town in our bright kelly green, 20ft pull trailer which we've turned into a mobile showroom - so if you see us on your street, chase after us and say hello.

Congratulations to southern california golf pro, Michael Block for qualifying for the U.S. open.  Hozell gets its first glimpse at the PGA tour as Michael will be donning some Hozell gear at Oakmont this year.

First off, sorry for the lull in News & Events entries for the past several weeks. There has actually been a lot of news, and there have been a lot of events - i think we've just been too busy to write about 'em. This is going to change. If you've been at the sales events and parties, keep checking back here because we will be posting info and pictures soon.

So, here's some News: The new NBC show 'Your LA' which deems itself as an insiders guide to "everything that's cool about living in Southern California", did a story on Hozell which aired a few days ago (Friday 10/20). The NBC camera crew came to a big party/sales event we threw at a friend's house in Hollywood to check out our line, and to interview us and some of our friends. We're stoked on how the piece turned out, and we've been getting a really strong reaction from people who saw it on tv.

After a very long and trying labor of love, the first cut and sewn line of Hozell clothing is available starting today. Inspired by our firm belief in a perpetual vacation, every item in this line exudes the same soft, buttery feel that you've come to expect from our T-shirts... and a fit that's taken our picky asses forever to get just right.

From the start, Hozell has been about friends... and the word of the brand and our clothing is really only spread through groups of friends it somehow inspires. With the launch of this new line, we will be lining up a bunch of private sales events and parties to show the line, and just to hang with friends and meet great new people.

The very first Hozell products were released in early December 2005, starting with a line of seven shirts five for guys, two for girls.

We sold out of these shirts within 9 days.

After producing more shirts to keep up, we dove head first into the design of a custom line of Collared Shirts. The months to follow would test our patience, our sanity, and our ability to physically survive without the time to play golf or get to the beach for, sometimes, days at a time. We survived, and we love the outcome - hope you do too.
